This is the main technical area of UNIBS's involvement. Through the Agrofood Research Hub at DICATAM, UNIBS develops and tests composting technologies using locally available organic materials. The project includes a pilot composting experiment with different organic matrices, development of approaches for compost production and use in agriculture, and preparation of guidelines and policy recommendations to promote sustainable compost utilisation.
