CeTAmb, the “Research Center on Appropriate Technologies for Environmental Management in Resource-Limited Countries”, was established in 2000 as a Research Center of the University of Brescia. In 2013, it became a Laboratory and was subsequently re-established as a Research Center in 2021, also thanks to the support of Fondazione Cogeme, Museke, SIPEC and Tovini.
The core of CeTAmb’s activities is the study of “appropriate environmental technologies” aimed at addressing the real needs of resource-limited countries through solutions that are sustainable over time, have a low environmental impact and are affordable. The Center promotes research activities and contributes to international development cooperation projects in the fields of drinking water, sanitation, solid waste management, and energy production from water and waste.
